Application deadline 10/21/11. Every year CSCA awards a spirit scholarship to an outstanding spirit leader
based on participation in school and community activities, number of years in a spirit program, academic
excellence, and letters of recommendation.
Requirements for this scholarship are:
o A Senior Leader (cheer and/or dance).
o Cheered and/or danced for a minimum of 2 years.
o Plans to attend an accredited 2 or 4 year college no later than the fall following their graduation year.
o Must have an accumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher at the time of application.
The recipient will be selected based on the following:
• Participation in school and community activities.
• Applicant’s number of years in spirit program.
• 2 letters of recommendations (one must be from current spirit coach)
• Academic record
• Selection of recipient is made solely by CSCA committee.
• Scholarship winners must remain in good standing with their spirit program and high school through the end of their
senior year.
***CSCA reserves the right to remove the scholarship if "good standing" is not preserved through the end of high school.
