Kristin Engler Brooks
kebrooks@me.com

Kristin “KE” Brooks has joyfully dedicated nearly all of her childhood and the majority of her adult life being immersed in the cheer and dance community.  She has put her focus on choreography, judging, directing, dance education/instruction, and coaching for the last 20+ years.  Her passion is helping young athletes discover their unique qualities and talent through the vehicle of dance. Her forte is working alongside coaches to maximize their team’s talents to showcase on the competition floor. But maybe, more importantly, KE is devoted to identifying teachable moments that will help grow and develop athletes into the strong, resilient, and influential people that God designed them to be.
KE found her home on a competitive cheer team in middle and high school eventually making the switch to coll
egiate dance at the University of Northern Colorado.  KE graduated with a BS in Business Administration and a certificate in International Business from Colorado State University. She went on to dance at Walt Disney World in various live productions.  KE spent five years dancing for the Denver Nuggets Dancers (National Basketball Association), and then went on to serve as the Assistant Director for two years. Additionally, KE was the Dance Director for the Arena Football League’s Colorado Crush Cheerleaders for three seasons before leaving to start her own dance production company with notable clients such as Hard Rock Cafe and the Denver Center for Performing Arts.  During the cumulative time she spent gaining experience in each of those organizations, KE has been privileged to dance for/with Everlast Boxing, Destiny’s Child, Ciara, Kelly Clarkson, Big and Rich, Taylor Dane, Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock, Chubby Checker, and the Temptations. She has worked as a dance director, choreographer, and performer in various countries, including Mexico, Germany, Italy, Bosnia, Turkey, and England.   KE served as the Marketing Director for Fluid Dance Conventions for three national tours. In 2019, KE was honored to judge in Scotland for the British Cheer Association’s, Scottish Sensation dance competition.
Currently, KE has found Dance Athletics (formally Peak Athletics) to be her coaching and teaching home. She has coached All-Star dance and had the honor of directing the Peak Performance Company for several years and working with young dancers on their competitive pieces.  Dance Athletics is the playground where KE has found a space to learn, grow, and stretch herself alongside incredible coaching peers and a world-class leadership team.

KE continues to serve as a Board Member on the Colorado Spirit Coaches Association (CSCA) where she has served for more than 12 years. CSCA serves cheer and dance coaches in Colorado, focusing on mentorship, development, and education by offering events and resources to coaches. During her time with CSCA, KE has directed conferences serving our student athletes, managed vendor relationships, and marketing. Watching and learning from the incredible women that choose to coach young athletes in our community is why KE loves being a part of the CSCA.
